1990–1995: Undergraduate Coordinator for CSUF’s Computer Science Department (processed student petitions, monitored faculty advisors, executed placement examinations, edited the Undergraduate Brochure, evaluated seniors’ remaining requirements for graduation, gave presentations at campus-wide new student orientation/advisement activities)
1990–1995: Chair of CSUF’s Computer Science Undergraduate Curriculum Comittee during complete redesign of the curriculum to conform to ACM/IEEE “Curriculum ’91” standards
1985–present: Reviewer for academic publishers (primarily C++ texts since 1990)
1988–1993: Faculty advisor to the CSUF student chapter of the ACM (During this time, a team composed of students who all took my “algorithms” course won third place in the Western Regional ACM Programming Contest and placed thirteenth (the median) at the National Finals.)

1987–1988: Member of UCI Computer Support Group (developed user software, departmental database, and answered most “postmaster” email and handled minor faculty emergencies)

1989–1991: Founding member of CSUF's Untenured Faculty Organization, giving “survival” help to first-year faculty — I quit when the organization developed a focus on alcoholic activities.
