Mitchell
Professor Earl Mitchell has a B.S. in Business Administration
from California State University at Los Angeles, an M.B.A. with
emphasis in Accounting and Finance from the University of Illinois,
and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of
La Verne.
He is a former CPA who licensed by the State of California. He worked
six years for Price Waterhouse & Company with diverse industry
experience in Audit Tax, and consulting assignments. After public accounting,
he served for twenty-four years in private industry as Corporate
Controller and Chief Financial Officer of various companies. Since
then he has served for fifteen years with the Rancho Santiago Community
College District as the Director of Financial and Administrative
Services, Assistant Dean and Dean of Business, and Professor of
Accounting, Business, Financial, and Tax..
Professor Earl Mitchell has taught college and university
accounting and business courses for over twenty years, at Cal State
Fullerton, University of California at Irvine, Golden West
College, Santiago Canyon College, and Santa Ana College. His professional
memberships include the ACCCA (Association of California Community College Administrators), AICPA, the California Society of CPAs, the
National Association of Business Educators, and 100 Black Men of
Orange County Inc.
Dr. Mitchell enjoys reading, sports, music, live theater, and spending
time with his lovely wife Sandra, who teaches for Santa Ana Unified
School District.
