The Santa Ana College Commercial Software Accounting program
benefits both general accounting students and those focused on obtaining
a commercial accounting certificate. All accounting students should
be aware of the basic functionality and applications available in
most commercial packages, and of effective processes for selecting,
implementing, and utilizing a software package. They should also
acquire some entry level processing and report generation skills
using a standard commercial package. Our courses provide this training

Comprehensive training is available for each of the above options.
The training begins with the correct techniques for setting up a
company's files and records, based its major transaction processing
and informational needs and goals. During the training, individual
application modules such as Order Entry, Accounts Receivable, and
Accounts Payable are explored, and the integration of the various
modules is emphasized. The training culminates with comprehensive
problem assignments, which require use of all the skills learned.
